Sri D. Satyanarayana, Vice-President
Sri Dusharla Satyanarayana, B.Sc.(Agriculture) Graduate from A.P. Agriculture University, Rajendernagar, Hyderabad, Vice-President & Member of the Governing Board of SUVIDHA, initially started his career as an Agriculture Assistant in Andhra Bank, Cuddapah. Subsequently worked as Agricultural Field Officer (Rural Development Officer) for Union Bank of India. During his service, he had undergone training in Agricultural Finance and in Sericulture in Bombay and Bangalore in the respective Training Colleges of Dena Bank, Central bank of India,Union Bank of India and also Reserve Bank of India, Pune. Through the Banking services, he worked for the social and rural development of the society and won appreciation from the concerned officials.
 
During service, having experienced the plight of the poor farmers, left the Bank job and made up his mind to render selfless social service for uplifting the poor and neglected lot in rural areas for all round development of the society. Since 1987 onwards till date he is rendering his service as Social Activist with all humility and simplicity adhering all austerity measures living among the poor farmers.
 
JALA SADHANA SAMITHI
Sri Dusharla Satyanarayana is well known for forming the JALA SADHANA SAMITHI, organizing thousands of people of the most neglected areas of Nalgonda District, the farming community in particular, men, women, freedom fighters in general and lead the peaceful movement in getting justice for release of Water from Krishna River suitable for drinking and irrigation purpose for the largest neglected people of Nalgonda and Mahboobnagar Districts and other region of the State. For achieving this great task, he has moved the hearts and minds of the officials concerned brought to their urgent notice who were unconcerned for many years i.e. from Village, Mandal, District, State and to the National level. In this process, he has personally appraised the Hon’ble Governors of the concerned States i.e. U.P, Uttaranchal and Maharashtra besides Andhra Pradesh of the pathetic situation of the poor people of the State and moved their hearts. In this connection he has also met the Prime Ministers, President of India, NHRC Chairman, National Water Resources Ministers, Union Agriculture Ministers, Forest and Environmental Ministers, International Embassies etc. In this process he was constrained to conduct various public meetings, stage dharnas, hunger strikes and fast unto death to draw the attention of the authorities and the Government from time to time. Ultimately, he could make it possible which was considered impossible in getting the Mother River Krishna Waters, bringing back to life the prematurely buried irrigation projects.
 
Sri Dusharla Satyanarayana, even today is continuing his yeomen service as a well known Social Activist, has volunteered to join SUVIDHA on honorary basis, taking into consideration that the aims and objectives are also of great concern to the farming community.
 
Sri Dusharla Satyanarayana is continuing as Vice-President of our NGO organization and we are sure SUVIDHA’s services will reach out to the needy farmers of the State through his continued support and co-operation.
 
HIS UNIQUE ACHIEVEMENT
Sri Dursharla Satyanarayana, while leading the movement of struggle for the poor people’s cause of getting drinking water, was jailed. But he was the first person in the country to come out of the jail without any bail, which was reportedly not possible to the then Hon’ble Prime Minister late Smt. Indira Gandhi and the other eminent leaders. His unconditional release from the Jail was followed by:
  1. Smt. Medha Patkar after 2 years.
  2. Sri Anna Azare after 3 years
  3. Sri Gaddar (Baladeer) after 4 years.

Overall Objective
The overall objective of the SUVIDHA is to promote the welfare of the agricultural and rural communities in the country, particularly in Andhra Pradesh, through adoption of a multi-dimensional and holistic approach to agriculture and rural development, making agriculture sustainable and viable.
